Automatic Fire, Strategic Upgrades

Idle Brick Breaker: Arcade Progression removes manual aiming from the brick-breaking formula. Cannons fire on their own, so your attention shifts to resource management. You decide when to spend on power boosts, speed enhancements, or new abilities. That single change turns a reflex game into a planning exercise. Each purchase affects how quickly bricks fall and how far a single run can stretch.

Ball Types and Ability Unlocks

Balls are the core progression unit. Upgrading a ball to level 10 unlocks the next ball type. At level 50, a ball gains a special ability. At level 125, it earns a passive bonus. These thresholds create natural checkpoints: you always know what the next meaningful upgrade will be. Because each ball carries its own ability and passive, switching between them changes how your cannons perform against tougher bricks.

Prestige Mode and Permanent Bonuses

Reaching level 50 opens prestige mode. Activating it resets your current progress but grants permanent bonuses that apply to every future run. This creates a loop where short-term sacrifice leads to faster long-term growth. The decision to prestige is not automatic. You weigh the immediate loss of upgrades against the compounding benefit of permanent multipliers. Players who plan around this system tend to progress more efficiently than those who prestige at every opportunity.

Idle Earnings and Session Length

The game earns rewards while you are away. That makes it viable for short check-ins: collect resources, reinvest them, and close the game. Longer sessions suit players who want to optimize upgrade order or experiment with power-versus-speed combinations. Mouse controls handle all interaction through the UI, so there is no skill barrier. The challenge comes from deciding where each resource goes.
